Help Desk: Frequently Asked Questions

Push the button - if you ever have a problem
or question (not in this list of course!)
contact us through "Game Help" at
the top of the game menu.
We don't actually get too many tickets through the help desk at Gangster Nation (unless something big has gone on in chat, the forums etc) and a lot of the tickets which we do receive are asking the same questions - sometimes the questions are a bit silly too. We're going to give you the answers to some of the most frequently asked help desk questions :)

Could you admin kill my character for me?

This one is a bit of an annoying question, usually asked by people who don't actually play the game and prefer to bother other players in chat etc. Whilst we technically could kill your character off, we're not going to. You have a suicide feature available and 100% of the people asking this question are asking it because they have already committed suicide recently and want us to basically override their timer. At the end of the day, the suicide rules are there for a reason and if we were to start admin killing people on request, we may as well not have any suicide timer. Next time you commit suicide, think about whether you're doing the right thing - also think about the username you choose before creating your new character.

What (exact) day will the game reset this round?

This question gets asked throughout the entire round. No joke, we get asked this question even on Day 1 of a brand new round. We do not normally choose a precise date until near the end of a round and once we do choose a date, all players will be made aware of this date in various places: events will be sent out, a blog post will be made, The Times editor may make a post about it - etc. In short: as soon as we know, you will know. Please also note that we won't set the reset date specifically to one player's needs either - the reset dates are chosen based on the usual time of busiest traffic to the website, to suit the majority of players. We're unfortunately unable to please everybody at once!

Can my friend/brother/sister/dog etc sign up on my connection? or, my friend is coming to my house tonight, is it OK for them to login from my connection?

In short; yes. You do not need to ask us for permission for anybody to sign up or play from your connection unless we have explicitly told you otherwise. If your friend wants to play, that's fine, if somebody wants to sign up, that's fine. This of course does not mean you can create multiple accounts yourself, if you are found doing this then all accounts may be disabled permanently. So as long as you're not doing anything wrong and you know you're not, don't worry about what connection you are using or who uses your connection. We will contact you if we have any questions.

You will receive an error message
if your interaction is not allowed.
Can I send money, bullets etc to my friend/brother/sister/dog who is on my connection?

We have an automated system for blocking interaction in certain cases. You are free to try and send money to somebody else using your connection but you will likely be met with an error - stopping you from continuing with the action. So, sure, give it a go - you won't be banned for trying to interact with somebody on your connection. However, we do ask that once you see an interaction block message that you don't try to evade or go around this block, please just respect that we have the block in place for reason :)

Well, there isn't a load of questions here but these are the questions that we get asked most through the help desk. Now everybody knows the answers!
